She has also been a trainer in corporate and ministry for over 20 years and understands what it takes to get people results.
As the Founder & CEO of Zeely Creative Brand Studio, Christyl understands the challenges new business owners face when transitioning from a 9-5 into building a company from the ground up. She realizes that the mindset is just as crucial as the action steps it takes to establish your vision and make it profitable.
She has become masterful in helping numerous clients improve their mindsets, get clear on their vision, and build successful launch plans for their side-businesses that lead to them booking more engagements, gaining clients, and increasing sales. Now she wants to do it with you!
My challenges.
When I was younger, I suffered from Imposter Syndrome, never thinking I was good enough to accomplish anything great. I hid behind others’ talents and never had the courage to take center stage. I didn't like the attention but I also didn't want to be ignored...crazy huh?
Even though I came from a great home with a loving church-going family who always encouraged me, lived by what they preached, and pushed me to do better, there was still a disconnect inside of me that held me back from being my best. I desired great things like most people, but my real thoughts about myself didn’t match my desires. My negative mindset and insecure thinking followed me for years which prevented me from doing more with my life during that time.
I would find little things to pick apart about myself. I made a bunch of excuses about why I shouldn't move forward with big opportunities, psyching myself out, so I wouldn't have to be disappointed just in case I was rejected later. Self-sabotage and I were buddies. And if you know anything about sabotage of any kind, it's a continuous take, take, and TAKE relationship and you never win or get anything good out of it.
My aha moment.
When I hit my 30s, I started to desire more and began to see things differently. I had to have a stern talk with myself and come to the realization that what I was lacking in life was my fault alone, no one else's. It was time to stop living beneath my potential and start doing the work...the mindset work. The only way I was going to be my best was to make the right changes in order to get the greatest results.
So for years, I studied the mindset and how it's connected to us spiritually. So I started putting into practice what I was learning by listening to transformational speakers and positive teachings. I read books on the power of the mind. I even began changing my daily routines by incorporating meditation, prayer, affirmations, studying the bible, and reading other impactful books.
Another thing I had to do was to remove myself from toxic relationships. I consistently did each step until I began to see and feel a transformation in my mindset, faith, and beliefs, including the outward parts of my life.
What's next?
I didn't want to keep all the good stuff to myself. So I made it my mission to share what has helped me and what has helped others that I've been blessed to work with, teach, and train. I take no credit for this on my own. I know it was God who revealed and led me through this process and this point so that I can share it with you too.
So the next step is to start your mindset journey. Most of the things we manifest in life are what we have secretly and subconsciously thought or meditated on for months and sometimes years. I'm the wife of Larran Benford who is a wonderful man, my biggest supporter, and college sweetheart. I'm also the mother of Madisyn Simone who is a brilliant creative that always brings joy to those around her. I've been blessed to own my own business, Zeely Creative where I get to work with phenomenal visionaries who want to help others through their businesses and ministries, as well as build their brands and legacies.
The icing on the cake is that I'm a TRUE worshipper and lover of God. There's nothing better than being used by God to share the knowledge, gifts, and understanding he has given me to help others achieve greatness through their mindset and spirituality. It is my mission to empower, uplift, and educate all who want to truly see and live God's best. The life I have is truly a gift from God!
